The Ministry of Transport is the government’s chief policy adviser on transport, providing advice on funding, investment and regulatory arrangements needed to support a sound transport system, including land, aviation and maritime transport. As part of the wider Governance and Engagement Group, the Business Integrity and Performance (BIP) team provides an advisory function to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to support its leadership of a high-performing Ministry. The BIP team are responsible for planning and accountability, risk and assurance functions, business continuity planning, procurement policies and approaches, project management, and Protective Security requirements.

We are seeking a proactive team player to drive the team’s regular reporting cycles for performance, risk and assurance activities. You will:

  • be adept in analysing and presenting high quality information, particularly numerical reporting 

  • demonstrate proven ability to see patterns and suggest solutions in order to understand and deliver on Ministry expectations

  • be interested in and capable of understanding the big picture

  • have an understanding of, or experience supporting, the provision of procurement and contract management services to stakeholders

  • be experienced in providing adminstrative team support

  • have an eye for detail
