Economist / Senior Economist

Permanent – Full time

In this role you will be working alongside economists, researchers and policy advisers in a stimulating, collegial and fast moving environment providing expert economic advice and analysis, to support and contribute to the development of sound policy.

You will support the research and economic evaluation underpinning policy advice to Government. The role contributes to the preparation of briefs, ministerial correspondence and reports including the assessment of impacts on legislation, policy and programme settings.

The successful candidate will require the following skills and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Economics

  • Research, policy and analytical skills and experience to undertake sound quantitative and qualitative economic analyses.

  • Project management, negotiation and interpersonal skills, experience in working independently and within teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in particular report writing.
