About the opportunity | Ngā whakamārama mō te tūnga
Our HR Team provides strategic and operational guidance, advice and support on all aspects of HR for the Ministry, including payroll and position management, employee relations, recruitment and selection, induction and on-boarding, HR policy and procedures, workforce planning, organisational development, learning and development, change management, staff engagement, payroll and HR reporting, health, safety and wellbeing, remuneration, policies and people management.
As the HR and Payroll Co-ordinator you will provide administrative and co-ordination support for the whole HR function. Working closely with the HR team, you will have a direct line into what's happening across the Ministry. In this role there is a real opportunity for autonomy, so we need someone who is pro-active, can build good working relationships, is as flexible as the role requires, and is serious about making a positive contribution to the success of the HR team and developing their career in HR.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn valuable skills, taking ownership for the maintenance and continuous improvement of our administrative processes, systems and service delivery.
What you’ll bring | Te wāhi ki a koe
We are looking for someone who has previous experience supporting an HR function such as Payroll, LMS or HR administration. As a self-starter with initiative, you will have excellent organisation and data management skills, be able to multi-task, have great attention to detail, and the ability to confidently communicate with our customers.
Your
prior experience will mean you are comfortable juggling multiple priorities and
enjoy keeping busy, while maintaining a customer-focussed, helpful, and
professional attitude at all times. You
will be detail-oriented, be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
and be proactive in both maintaining and improving on existing processes.

Whānuitanga Utu ā-Tau | Salary range
The salary band range is $62,867 - $83,041 per annum (+ KiwiSaver). The salary offered will reflect the skills and experience that you bring.
